A personal message from Cary Corthron & Lota Zoth
Thank you for visiting our website! In this tumultuous economic climate, we feel it is important to celebrate the "litle things in life" because we believe that the "little things" are really the "big things"!
We believe that enjoying what life brings to each of us is important. We have been blessed to be able to do a little bit of travelling so far in 2009, so we plan to share our discoveries -- particularly of small town America -- with you. So, sit back and enjoy -- we have three special pages for 2009 already in place. The first is the continuation of the Salazar story (click The Salazar Story 2009), the second is the story of our January 2009 trip to the Black Tie & Boots Inaugural Ball in Washington DC (click Black TIe & Boots 2009) and the third is our first RV Trip in 2009 (click RV Trip 1 2009).
Background for First-Time Visitors
We created this website to celebrate and commemorate significant changes in our lives that occurred in July 2007, beginning with Lota's retirement from MedImmune and our decision to dramatically change our lifestyle. This included selling our home in Maryland, and making our second home in Texas our principal residence -- well, sort of.....
We also purchased a motorhome, which we have named the "Waggin' Wagon" that will serve as our second home over the next several months (maybe years) as we set out to explore America. Cary, as usual, is morphing the practice of his artistry (photography) to accomodate this lifestyle. When your profession is also your passion, all you need is time to capture and present your work product -- and Cary plans to do a significant amount of digital capture during our travels. Below please find a quick synopsis of the pages on the site...
